Among the exhibits featured throughout the aquarium are a wide variety of amphibians, an interactive parakeet and a separate dove aviary, and a variety of cold water and tropical fish. Also, Austin Aquarium features sharks, a stingray touch tank, a rain forest with hundreds of reptiles, and additions to the family, like Ruffed Lemurs and a Capybara!
The Austin Aquarium provides children and families access to the excitement and learning opportunities of the ocean without the long trip to the coast. Guests can watch jellyfish gently float and glow admiring the bright and colorful corals without leaving Austin’s city limits.
The Austin and San Antonio Aquariums are the only facilities in the U.S. where patrons can interact with and pet lemurs. Our furry Red Ruffed lemurs are so playful and curious.
