Austin Aquarium is thrilled to allow guests to interact with select animals, birds, and sea life within the facility. You don’t need to sail into the deep ocean to see a shark or an octopus, you can see one right here in the safety of the aquarium. Not only that – you can feed them here too!
INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS
Austin interactive aquarium programs are designed so children and their families have a greater understanding and appreciation for animals and sea creatures. Guests are encouraged to hand-feed stingrays, sharks, iguanas, tortoises, lorikeets, and more. Guests can pet a caiman lizard or interact with lemurs, sloths, and kinkajous. Austin Aquarium encourages you to view the thousands of animals within the aquarium. For Interactive Exhibits, you will need to buy food that is design for the animals. Fish, bird, and animal food is available for purchase through “tokens” which you can buy at the aquarium. Or, save time by buying tokens online before your visit.
