The Austin Aquarium field trips provide augmented, age-specific teachings for pre and post-visit study for Austin area PreK – College students.

Austin Aquarium hopes to inspire a new generation of oceanic explorers and conservationists from Greater Austin through education and shared experiences to create an ever-expanding appreciation for our planet’s oceans, rain forests, and deserts.

    Austin Aquarium Educational Field Trips

    Field Trip Pricing Info

    Field trip pricing is good for all Pre-K through 12th Grade students regardless of the size of the group (educational institutions, certified child care, home school, YMCA, or any other legitimately certified groups of children). Please show certification at the door.

     

    Low-income school districts may qualify for up to $2 per person discounts via our scholarship fund.

     

    Homeschool Groups

    Homeschool small groups are encouraged to pair up with other homeschoolers or contact the aquarium on which date you prefer and they will gladly pair you up with others interested in that day. The Austin Aquarium does include special pricing for homeschool groups of 15 or more. Homeschoolers, contact the aquarium to reserve your date by calling us at 512-222-5586 or email at info@austinaquarium.com.

    Additional Field Trip Information

    If you’re running late to your field trip at the aquarium, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered!

     

    To ensure our schedule stays on track and all groups have an enjoyable experience, here’s what you need to know about late arrivals:

    • Timeliness is Key: Please do your best to arrive at your scheduled time. We cannot accommodate groups more than 15 minutes before their appointment time.
    • Running Late? Give Us a Call: If you find yourself delayed, call us as soon as possible at 512-222-5586. This allows us to adjust the day’s schedule, as late arrivals may impact other field trips.
    • Check-In Process: When you arrive, keep students on the bus until a tour guide is available to greet and direct your group. This will help speed up the check-in process.
